Chicago pastor charged with battery


A suburban Chicago pastor has been charged with misdemeanor battery after he allegedly spanked a 13-year-old girl with a piece of wood because he thought she was lying about being sexually abused by a relative, authorities said.

Officials said they believe the girl's allegations of sexual abuse are true.

  • Mission: impossible" style break-in at medicinal marijuana clinic



    Four men were arrested Friday for investigation of trying to burgle a medical marijuana clinic after someone used a garden hose to climb down from the roof, authorities said.

    The men, whose identities were not immediately released, were arrested without incident and did not manage to steal any pot, sheriff's Detective Sylvia Arreseigor said.

  • Power outage causes big mess


    A power outage caused a big mess at a local airport on Friday afternoon.

    Officials said when power went out at the Allegheny County Airport, a foam machine was set off, filling the hangar to the rafters with foam.

    There were no planes in the hangar at the time, and no one was injured.

    Crews continued to clean up the mess Friday evening.

  • Dont Sell Stolen Beer


    Two College Station school cafeteria workers were fired and another resigned after the trio was linked last month to selling stolen beer on the A&M Consolidated High School campus, district officials said.

    College Station police and school officials said it appeared one of the women was provided stolen beer by a delivery driver working for a Bryan-based distributor. She is accused of selling the beer at a reduced cost to two other employees, officials said.

    District administrators said all three women worked at the high school in the child nutrition department, but they would not identify them by name. No charges have been filed, but the case remained under investigation Friday.

    Charlie Sheen now faces more legal troubles. Rumor has it, he's now being linked to the death of a porn star. Chloe Jones, a former Penthouse Pet, was found dead in her Houston, Texas, home last summer, only months after going public with an alleged affair she had with the actor.

    And now the X-rated star's mother, Donna, is considering filing a wrongful death suit against Charlie because she believes he drove her daughter to take her own life.

    Company Makes Jenna Jameson Antenna Doll

    An Arizona-based company has created a five-inch tall doll in the likeness of AVN Hall of Famer Jenna Jameson.
    The doll attaches to a car antenna, in a simulated pole dance. The doll slides to the bottom of the antenna and moves with the motion of the vehicle.

    Under a licensing agreement between Club Jenna and Korupt Kittens, the Jameson likeness will appear as a five-inch high-grade injection molded plastic doll that slides down an automobile antenna.

  • Trojan Freezes Computer, Demands Ransom


    A new kind of malware circulating on the Internet freezes a computer and then asks for a ransom paid through the Western Union Holdings money transfer service.

    A sample of the Trojan horse virus was sent to Sophos, a security vendor, said Graham Cluley, senior technology consultant. The malware, which Sophos named Troj/Ransom-A, is one of only a few viruses so far that have asked for a ransom in exchange for releasing control of a computer, Cluley said.

    The new Trojan falls into a class of viruses described as "ransomware." The schemes had been seen in Russia, but the first one appeared in English just last month.
